LIMA - smartsys, the Payroll Management platform of the Business Services & Outsourcing Unit obtained a certification in ethical hacking.
smartsys, the web-based payroll management platform of the Business Services & Outsourcing Unit of BDO in Peru was strictly evaluated through ethical hacking techniques and obtained a certification as a result of complying with minimum standards and good practices in information security.
The certification was granted by Bafing, a leading technology integrator company specialized in cybersecurity, e-Health, and Smart Buildings.
About the certification
Ethical hacking has become increasingly relevant in today’s digital age, as more and more companies and organizations rely on web-based platforms to manage transactions and confidential data. But what is ethical hacking and why is it important to certify that a web-based platform has passed ethical hacking tests?
Ethical hacking refers to the use of hacking techniques to assess the security of a web-based platform with the consent of the platform owner. The goal is to identify security vulnerabilities that could be exploited by malicious hackers, and then inform the owner to correct these vulnerabilities before someone with malicious intent exploits them.
